Originally founded in 1873, Degussa can look back on a 150-year legacy in the precious metals industry. In fact, the name Degussa is short for Deutsche Gold und Silber Scheideanstalt, which translates to German gold and silver refinery.
This is why the von Finck family, which has shaped Germany’s finance industry for over 100 years, decided to revive this traditional brand when they reentered the precious metals market in 2010.
